Trent & Trent

Heritage

Three generations in clothing

Trent & Trent is the realisation of a vision held by twin brothers Henrik and Marius Trent: to offer a broad mix of carefully selected brands to the modern woman.

It started with Antonina

Marius and Henrik spent much of their childhood with their grandmother Antonina, who made womenswear on Singer sewing machines. That is where they learned the difference between a garment built to last and one that merely looks good on the rail.

The brothers also come from an active sporting background, and brought the same habits into retail: teamwork, precision, attention to detail and stamina through seasons that rise and fall.

"Everyone is warmly welcome here," their grandmother used to say. It is still the sentence we run the business by.

Timeline

From a sewing machine to two stores

Antonina

The sewing machine at home

Twin brothers Henrik and Marius Trent grew up with their grandmother Antonina, who made womenswear on Singer sewing machines. This is where an understanding of fit, fabric and craft begins.

1986

Trent-Invest AS

The brothers launch an import and distribution company together with Halina Trent, carrying labels such as She, Bogie and Bandolera, and quickly become one of the key suppliers to Norwegian fashion retail.

1996

Carlotta at Skøyen

The first store of their own opens, followed by Meduza at Aker Brygge — their own floors, their own clients, their own edit.

2005

Imperia at Paleet

The store moves into Paleet on Karl Johans gate and settles in the heart of Oslo.

2013

Øvre Slottsgate

During Paleet's full refurbishment the store continues from Øvre Slottsgate.

2014

Trent & Trent

In September the store reopens at Paleet — new premises, a new concept and a new name above the door. Legally still the same company: Imperia-Paleet AS.

2025

20 years at Paleet

The store marks two decades at Paleet, with regulars from across Norway and from Argentina to Australia.

2026

Thon Senter Sandvika

Trent & Trent opens its second store, on the second floor of Stortorget at Thon Senter Sandvika.

The family today

Henrik Trent is managing director and runs the Paleet store. Marius Trent looks after the showroom and agency business together with Halina Trent, who has been part of it since the import and distribution years. The next generation is in the business and built the online store, trents.no.

The company behind the store is still called Imperia-Paleet AS — a reminder that this is the same business, the same family and the same clients, simply with more addresses.
